"I’m obsessive and ‘besharam’ about making a good film - In a conversation with #AnupamaChopra, #HrithikRoshan and #SiddharthAnand tell us about making #War, the Hrithik-Tiger chemistry and reuniting after Bang Bang. What was it like to shoot #JaiJaiShivShankar for the.. more two actors? Watch this interview to find out."
What if one day you find a bag full of cash? And you're faced with a dilemma to take it or not. Would you take it? Nandan Kumar is about to witness the madness unfold when the chase begins for the Lootcase kyuki, iss bag mein kuch kaala hai!
I still very clearly remember year 2006. When Hrithik had two massive hits in Krrish and Dhoom 2, which put him clearly on top in a year when Shah Rukh Khan had Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Don, and Aamir Khan had Rang De Basanti and Fanaa. The year was full of huge hits and in.. more the top was my favorite superstar - Hrithik Roshan.
Since then it's been 13 years and Hrithik hasn't had a top grosser in the year in his last 10 films as the lead. While these films have had a mixed response, Hrithik's talent was never doubted and in quite a few he was the only saving grace in these films. However things have definitely changed since 2006 in terms of response to his films.
The problem hasn't just been that his films were not being accepted by the audience like before, but they lacked the promise and didn't do enough justice to the brilliance of Hrithik Roshan.
This year we have already had Super 30, where Hrithik put up a brilliant show as an actor, where even his critics who were ready to castigate him for playing an earthen Bihari man were silenced by his strong moving performance. The film also managed to do really well through word of mouth, despite an average opening weekend.
It is therefore when War's trailer was released coupled with success of Super 30, that I begin dreaming of the return of 2006. Hrithik is now 45 but is still unmatchable in talent, energy and screen presence. War has the potential to make the most of Hrithik's superb screen presence and become a huge blockbuster, something which Hrithik deserves way more than others. I do not want to be unrealistically optimistic but going by the reaction to Hrithik's presence in War's trailer and the anticipation for the film, I am not afraid to dream of the true return of the real superstar.
